This is the day I first met Brushy One-String. A local Jamaican who toured England and garnered fame as the self taught musician who plays a guitar that has only one-string.
This took place on my second day in Jamaica and I instantly knew I wanted him in my film. In Man free Brushy plays the same song 'Bam Bam'. At the time I was told the song was an old Jamaican song that was in the public domain. After Man Free was edited I learned that in fact the song was originally written and performed by The Maytals.
